Studio Session, Koori Cohort Recording Project, 9 April 08
The first session for 08, featuring story teller and didgeridoo virtruoso, Ron Murray.
Career highlights include, performing in the world premiere of American composer Philip Glass' Voices for Didgeridoo, Organ and Narrator, with Mark Atkin, Calvin Bowman and Joy Murphy-Wandin and at its US premiere at the Lincoln Center Festival, New York, 2001; as soloist with the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Orchestra in the Melbourne premiere of Australian composer Peter Sculthorpe's Requiem Mass, 2005; performing with Voices in Amman, Jordan as part of the Second World Congress for Middle Eastern Studies, 2006.
In 2007, Ron has performed on top of the MCG scoreboard for ‘Dreamtime at the G', the AFL's annual football round commemorating the game's Indigenous players. This year he'll be back in an even bigger role.
