Archie Roach, Ruby Hunter and friends were the headline act that lead the celebrations after Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, in the Australian Parliament in Canberra, delivered the National Apology to the Stolen Generations.
It was a powerful speech with heartfelt emotion that was a long time coming.
“Nobody else in the country wanted to touch the apology but Kevin Rudd, when he was Prime Minister, decided to step up and to lead by example. It wasn't just a brave thing, it was the right thing.” Archie Roach.
